Another Conte piece, not much to say except the chair was a complete bugger to draw, the red conte pencil seemed alot softer and there was red dust everywhere and the silly bugger of a pencil kept going blunt which annoyed me no end.

I think I might give the contes a rest after this one...

Hey, very bold looking. The solid red really gives it a whole different look than if you'd just done it with black. I like it for that. It's different. :nod: I've never thought of drawing something entirely in a different color....

I'm ashamed to admit my ignorance, but what's a "Conte"? :blush:

it would be a shame if you did, no doubt there a pain (not knowing what a conte is..guessing a type of colour pencil) but the result is truely amazing. I like the effect for the legs (tights?). Youve just got to start doing how to's now lol I love the hair effect aswell *clenched fists shaking at the monitor

Interesting piece. I like the pose and stuff. The anatomy is spot on. I am just not sure if this is the cross between the shadow and full body art. You have details and shadows on some places and on some places where one would expect them they are not there, hence it makes me unsure about the light source. Sorry about not so great comment not having good day.

hi mooseman hows it going ? thanks for the comment.. the contes are cool its taken a while to get used to them but Im getting the hang of it. It bugs me that I have to be so neat.. Im not normally like that hehehe

Hi man thanks :), Im a through and through pencil guy been trying paints at the moment but they dont feel as comfortable as pencil. Contes (name of the manufacturer rather than name of the medium) are basically pastel in a pencil formit makes it much easier to draw and less messy. I been using the contes to try and bring some variation to my pencil scribblings heh..
