First of all I used a ref pic from Blazko
blazko <-- got some great pics and Bloody maggie is one of my favourites.
Its the second piece that I've done using his reference, It came out a little messed up.
The piece is done on white paper thats been painted with acrylic paint. Then on top of that a mixture of pastel and Conte pastels.
Time taken about 2.5 hours.
The fixer spray buggered it up quite a lot the tones were much softer than that but after spraying its seemed to have killed all the lighter shades of white. The photo I took also didn't help. it turned out bright orange because of the lighting. Had to manip it to look a bit more like the piece of work

I will probably redo some of the lighter tones and see if it stays after spraying this time.

Gotta love those reds=DActually, I kinda like this one - especially since you can faintly see the stroke lines made by the brush, also the different tones in the image.

great pic! the textures of the brushstrokes of the paint, and that of the crayon look brilliant.
the colour is fabulous too :) very dramatic.

hi man

thanks ! :) i hate cameras and I hate scanners too I had to fiddle with te levels so damned much to get it to look right. The bummer is that it still is off the contrast is actually too high and its got this wired grainy spoltchy thing that annoys me beyond belief.

Glad you like it, I was moping around your gallery the other day and it game me the idea of using paint on the paper beore I drew on it .. Cheers for the inspiration. I'm going to work on it more, the hand is messed up and theres alot of messy areas.
